I have two opportunities for Mission and Service in the area that could use you to help in any way.
1. El Reno Indian United Methodist Church
On Monday i recieved and email from Karen Distefano. She is the Conference Secretary of Global Ministries UMC. asking for our help. She learned that the El Reno OIMC church had lost the principal source of funding to purchase Christmas presents for the kids at the church. The pastor, Donna Pewo (also a GBGM missionary), is really scrambling trying to find presents (or money for presents) for the 25 children, ages 1-16. I have a list and if you want to help let me know how many kids you want and i will be glad to give you a name and age to help. I need your presents by December 14th so we can get them over to them before their program on the 18th.
2. Feeding College Studnets
On Monday Dec. 12th Ashley, Emily, Laura and I will be heading over to the SWOSU Wesley Foundation to make the Lunch that they serve to about 40 students. If you would like to help with cookies (just bring them to us on Sunday) that would help us a ton.
